pressline ranks long-form investigative briefings. These standards govern what we publish and what we accept from contributors. The desk's rule is simple: claims must be tied to evidence you can see.
We rank reporting that ties its claims to documents — invoices, court files, permits, ledgers, satellite imagery. If a claim can't be sourced, it doesn't make the list. We credit the journalists and studios behind each briefing and link source reporting where we can.
Briefings are produced by human reporters and studios and curated by our human editorial desk. Where any synthetic media, reconstruction, or AI-assisted visualisation is used within a briefing, it must be clearly disclosed as such. We do not present AI-generated material as authentic documentary footage.
Contributors must hold or have licensed all rights necessary for us to distribute their work, including footage, stills, music, and archival material. By submitting, you confirm you have those rights. See our DMCA page for takedown procedure.
If a briefing contains an error, we correct it and note the correction. Report issues to [email protected].
Reporters and studios can pitch work to [email protected]. We review every submission against this policy for our ranking but can't guarantee placement.
